Hans, I'm sure you have many Arizonan things to occupy your time these days, but perhaps you could provide a note about your new life down in the hot sun. -Ian 16:41, 4 November 2008 (PST)

Files Templates

Hey Hans. Since you are a fellow Wiki-gogue, I just thought you should be made aware of the clickable fily-style templates that are now fully functioning (thanks to help/input from Chloe)! It took some finagling, but Peter was finally able to make pdf's, dat's, csv's and .r files uploadable. Here's some examples:

The Templates are at Template: Rcode, Template: Data, Template: Pdf. If you can think of more to make, then by all means do so!

Make Joanne an Administrator

Hey Hans... can you do what the heading says? I'm not sure off hand how to change people's status. Thanks, Eli 13:34, 10 April 2008 (PDT)

Done. The trick is Special:Userrights. You can get a list of all pages at Special:Specialpages (it is on the left menu bar as well). --Hans Nesse 13:51, 10 April 2008 (PDT)

Thesis?

Hey Hans, where that thesis of yours? The Theses and Dissertations page has been pretty quiet lately and needs some additions. -Ian 10:14, 16 February 2010 (PST)

Nice work on all the additions, including your thesis. -Ian 14:44, 9 April 2010 (PDT) p.s.: should I be adding comments at the top instead of the bottom of this page?
I think uncompilable tex + compiled PDF are perfectly adequate for the 514 stuff. It's all that's necessary to let somebody copy what you did. I posted my defense beamer tex file without associated images so it obviously wouldn't compile, but Aditya was able to make use of it anyway. If future 514 instructors want to use your notes and can't figure it out, they can't ask you for help. -Ian 15:38, 9 April 2010 (PDT)
