Eli, thank you for inspiring me to contribute to the R tips. Someday I'll add my own tips instead of just editing yours. By the way, where is this famed "data page"? I see no links. Also, someone remind me how to add the date like you two did in the comments above. - Ian

Attendance article

Boy those figures in your attendance article kick butt! Oooooh, the beautiful colors, so nice!

I think the caption "Figure 4: Visit durations (log scale) against age of pup. Red lines are 95% confidence intervals." could use expansion and is confusing because plot is not on log scale, only linear fit. Maybe better to say something like "Age of pups and their visit length. Black line shows linear model fit to log(visit length) ~ age. Red lines show 95% confidence intervals." If you had an equation in the text, you could refer to it, but you don't, which is OK.

I might have comments on the rest of the paper, but so far I've only looked at the pretty pictures.
