Formatting Questions for the Master

Help me, O Master Wiki-man. Here are two issues that trouble me. First, the template system is great, but what if there's no template for a file. For instance, I can write

{{Rcode | ADMB.xml | ADMB.xml}}

to get this nice link: Rlogo.jpg ADMB.xml

the double braces are call up what's known as a "template". To see how a template works, look at the link Template: Rcode. It is very simple. So simple in fact that I am about to make an Ian template... hold on.

But it's not Rcode, so what's the generic equivalent? And how can I write a link without putting the whole URL which makes it look like an external file?

 [ ADMB.xml]

Here's the second question: what's up with the font sizes for the math on this page I just created: AD_Model_Builder/Cheat_sheet (note especially in the middle of the page where they get big for a little while. I want them all big like that.

Forgive my impertinence in asking these humble questions, O Master. I have tried and failed to find the information elsewhere, so you are my only hope. If you can find time amidst your countless coffee breaks to bestow upon me an answer, I will be deeply grateful

Your humble servant, -Ian 16:23, 1 December 2008 (PST)

Update now that you're in Finland?

I notice a few out of date points on your user page, Dr. Gurarie.

Excellent improvements! Thank you. -Ian 10:33, 17 November 2008 (PST)
F & F, you bad ass! Tommy 16:14, 17 November 2008 (PST)

Howdy, well done adding the data page. Perhaps it would be wise to add descriptors and sources for the data added to the data page. Great idea, however, and I will try to add some data shortly. --Hans Nesse 19:01, 16 April 2008 (PDT)

It was Tommy's inspiration (acquired from you). I was just showing him how to start a page like that in principle. It's a great idea, though. Have you checked out the R tips by the way? More importantly, have you contributed to them lately? - Eli 11:52, 17 April 2008 (PDT)
Eli, thank you for inspiring me to contribute to the R tips. Someday I'll add my own tips instead of just editing yours. By the way, where is this famed "data page"? I see no links. Also, someone remind me how to add the date like you two did in the comments above. - Ian

There's some new data up on the data page, check it out. Ian, four tildes will insert your username and date. - Tommy 10:11, 18 April 2008 (PDT)

Fine impressions of Finland page, but did you get the job, or decide whether you want the job? Maybe this isn't the stuff of public proclamation. Ian 12:28, 30 April 2008 (PDT)

Big Shoutout to my Holmes

YO ELI ! Thanks for the correlated random walk code. It's dope. Tommy 10:46, 2 May 2008 (PDT)

Attendance article

Boy those figures in your attendance article kick butt! Oooooh, the beautiful colors, so nice!

I think the caption "Figure 4: Visit durations (log scale) against age of pup. Red lines are 95% confidence intervals." could use expansion and is confusing because plot is not on log scale, only linear fit. Maybe better to say something like "Age of pups and their visit length. Black line shows linear model fit to log(visit length) ~ age. Red lines show 95% confidence intervals." If you had an equation in the text, you could refer to it, but you don't, which is OK.

I might have comments on the rest of the paper, but so far I've only looked at the pretty pictures.
