Hello, Ian, and welcome to Wikiqermia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikiqermian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome!  -- Eli 16:13, 20 March 2008 (PDT)

PS. H. Nesse, never at a loss for ways to massacre time, has actually performed a study on the effectiveness of welcoming people for the encouragement of further edits. Hopefully you will find this form letter not too creepy to scare you away from valuable contributions in the future!

Response from Eli

Hi Ian! (I'm not sure whether your "watching" my page, so I'll reply to your post here.) Thanks for your cool contributions to R tips! The data page we were talking about is just: Data. There is basically nothing there yet, but the idea (from what Tommy and Hans have talked about) is to have a repository of cool publicly available data. Regarding date/time, if you sign your name with ~~~~, you get a full signature with date/time. Three tildes ~~~ just leaves your name and a link behind. Another formatting note: I found that the <pre> </pre> tags are a nice robust way for inputting large bits of code (see R/Correlated Random Walk). It might be better to use that in general instead of uploading text files (though I shudder to think that our handmade Rlogo.jpg R code template would become obsolete!) Ian! Thanks for starting and sharing SS output code on the Google code page. This will definitely come in handy in a month or so when I start cranking out results.
